Sponsorship plays a very important part in sending our athletes away to represent their country. Our highest profile skaters represent Australia and compete in the World Artistic Roller Skater Championships each year, held at various cities around the World. You can read a little more about our World Titles Representatives on the International Skaters page.
These dedicated skaters train many days a week at rinks in Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. They compete regularly at rinks all around Brisbane and will travel overseas to compete, sometimes a number of times per year. Host cities for World Championships over the last few years include;- Fresno, USA 2004; Rome, Italy 2005; Barcellona, Spain 2006; Gold Coast, Australia 2007; Chinese Taipei, Taiwan 2008; Freiberg, Germany 2009.
As a club we usually have a very successful Australian Championships with many of our skaters achieving medals. Consequently, many of our club skaters are often invited to represent Australia at the Oceanias Artistic Roller Skating Championships each year at venues in Australia and New Zealand. For more information about these skaters, see our International Skaters page.
Costs for individual skaters involved in international competition can be very high, especially when added to the ongoing costs of involvement in the sport such as coaching, training, equipment, costumes, etc. Too often talented, dedicated skaters are prevented from competing in these events, even when selected, because the extra costs are too prohibitive. Sponsorship can mean the difference between having the well-earned opportunity to compete on the World Stage and having such dreams end in dust.Corporate logos can be added to their skating bags, tracksuits and training costumes and to their profiles on the Club and National Website to advertise sponsors to a very wide audience.

Revolutions Club ManagementFund Raising
Club members regularly organise and run events to raise funds to help them seize their chance to represent their Club, State and even Country in Roller Skating Championships at varying levels. Some fund raising events are a group effort (e.g. a car wash, raffles. etc.) and go towards the financial commitments of the club as a whole while other endeavours are individual (e.g. selling chocolates) and these funds are kept in individual accounts to allay the skater's personal costs in pursuing their sport.
